$10,000 to win USMTS show at Park Jefferson Friday, June 4
One of the crown jewels of the racing season comes this week to Park Jefferson as the USMTS will bring their national travelling series to Sioux City and Park Jefferson Speedway for the 9th annual River City Rumble.
Featuring the nationals elite modified touring series, drivers from over 10 states will invade the 3/8th mile black gumbo oval located in Jefferson, South Dakota, just 10 miles north of Sioux City. The USMTS elite will be joined by a strong local contingent in gunning for $10,000 to win and $500 just to start the A Feature. With car counts averaging over 40 modifieds per night, a host of top competitors such as Terry Phillips, Rodney Sanders and more.
Joining them will be the non sanctioned J&J Fitting Stock Cars, Sport Mods and Hobby Stocks which will run by IMCA rules. Each division will run for $400 to win.
Gates open Friday at 5pm with hot laps slated for 7pm and racing at 7:30pm.
Adult tickets are $25, seniors $23 and children 6-11 $10 with under 6 being free.
Hotel rooms are available at the Country Inn & Suites of Dakota Dunes for $85 and Hampton Inn of North Sioux City for $89.
