Details for the August 7-8 Iron Cup
Park Jefferson Speedway is pleased to release details for the upcoming 7th Annual Iron Cup, presented by J&J Fitting. The event has become a fan favorite over the past few years and the track continues to try and find ways to improve the event.
Registration: The only division that requires registration is the IMCA Modifieds. The modifieds will be required to run Friday night in order to participate Saturday. IMCA Modified registration is $150 if registered by August 6 or $200 on race day.
The remaining IMCA classes have no registration fee.
Points: The track will award state, regional, and national points on both nights of racing. Saturday will be a track point night.
Friday: IMCA Modifieds will run twin heat races to determine the lineup for the Saturday night feature. IMCA Stock Cars, Sport Modifieds, Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts will run complete programs of draw/redraw format. The IMCA Compacts will only compete Friday and the Iron Cup will be awarded to the Friday night winner. The IMCA Modified will run a special non-point dash for cash. The lineup will see 1 driver from each state drawn into the field plus the top 2 in Park Jefferson points. All drivers will draw for position.
Saturday: The to 12 in points from Friday nights heat races will be locked into the A Feature and will re-draw for starting position. All other drivers will move to the twin B Mains with the lineup set based on Friday’s heat race points. In the event of any ties, the driver who registered first will win the tie-breaker. IMCA Stock Cars, Sport Modifieds, Hobby Stocks and RACESaver Sprint Cars will run complete programs of draw/redraw format. The Saturday night champion will be awarded the Iron Cup and be named the Iron Cup Champion.

Tickets: Friday tickets: $17 for adult/$15 for seniors/$5 for children 6-16 with under 6 free
Saturday tickets: $20 for adult/$18 for senior/$5 for children 6-16 with under 6 free.
