2018 Park Jefferson Summer Internship Opportunities
If you are looking for a career in the sports industry, obtaining an internship with the Park Jefferson Speedway is an excellent way to start your career in this fast paced, exciting industry! Park Jefferson Speedway and AtoZ Promotions are offering 2 summer internships. The Full Time Interns will work in the Park Jefferson Speedway front office Tuesday thru Saturday assisting with the day to day duties of the operation of the race track. The internship will begin at the end of the students school year and run until August 25th. These are paid internships and applicants are also encouraged to complete the internship for college credit.
Sports Management Intern
The Sports Management Internship will be a broad reaching position which will allow applicants to be involved in all aspects of the track, including the opportunity to plan their own events. They will experience the entire facet of what it is like to work in the front office of a race track. Duties will include but are not limited to: stadium operations, public relation appearances, promotional planning, ticket selling, ticket order processing, video/music/media production, grass roots marketing, etc. Ideal applicants are pursuing a degree in sports management, marketing etc. or a related field and/or have a strong desire to work in the sports industry post-graduation.
Media Internship
The Media Internship will be responsible for coordinating Park Jefferson advertising, print, radio presence along with coordinating with Advantage Motorsports for our YouTube videos. This will include running the Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat programs. In addition, this individual will be writing press releases for the track.
Minimum Requirements
1)Enrolled currently in University, College or Community College Programs
2)Willing to live during the summer in Sioux City or one of the surrounding communities such as Vermillion, Le Mars, Onawa etc.
