Park Jefferson Opening Night Details
Jefferson, SD-The Park Jefferson Speedway opens the season this Saturday May 9 for the first of seventeen nights of racing in the 2015 season. The Sensational Six opener will feature A-Modifieds, J&J Fitting Stock Cars, Pedersen Machine of Beresford Sport Mods, Hobby Stocks, Sport Compacts and Bombers. The racing will be hot and heavy in the A Modified division as drivers who are competing in the A Modified Bragging Rights championship will see their first of ten events. The A Modifieds will be competing at 10 different tracks in the region for a total point fund of thirteen thousand dollars.
Park Jefferson is unsanctioned in 2015, which means there are no licensing fees, registration fees, or parking fees. Drivers will contribute $5 nightly during the pill draw which goes directly into the point fund. Drivers please note the pit entrance has been moved to the south entrance road on the track as the main entrance and north entrance are for fans.
Hot laps are scheduled for 6:30 with racing at 7:00. Tickets for adults are $11 with children 6-16 $5. Pit passes are $25. Gates will open at 5 P.M. with the pit gate opening at 4:30 P.M.
