Track Surface Needing More Time - Few more items to complete before opening.
This is one of the hardest decisions I have had to make, but I am forced to cancel this Saturday's very highly anticipated Grand Opening event. We had roughly 2" of rain Sunday and Monday and that certainly hurt going into the final week of track preparation before our first event scheduled for this Saturday. We are very fortunate to have Mr. Bakker, one of the best track preparers in the country, preparing our racing surface and I simply don't want to rush him in providing all the fans and racers one of the nicest track surfaces around and being able to keep that surface for the remainder of the year. There are also just a few more things besides the track that we need to get ready for our first event and the extra week is really what we need.
There has been hundreds of man hours and thousands of dollars going into our facility to make it operational once again and we want nothing more than to have our opening event. I know all of the staff, racers, fans, and supporters of our facility want the same and we are doing our best to make this happen. We are all very excited to open and we will open.
We will now be opening with a double-header weekend starting on Friday, July 11th, with the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS Midwest Region) Winged Sprint Cars w/The Minnesota Mafia. Support Classes will be announced tomorrow as well as detailed information on the Saturday, July 12th event.
Friday Races will start at 7:30PM with Hotlaps at 7:00PM, Pit Gate opens at 5:00PM | General Admission $15, Kids 8-16 are $8, Kids 7 and under are Free. Pit Passes are $30.00
